The only thing special with RF is the "easy to handle" editor, the ability of certains mappers to design awesome maps and the fact it's playable with a 56 k modem. The single player story is plainly stupid, the character's psychology is dumb or inexistant. RF is just another run-of-the-mill game with some beautyful custom maps and far too many tedious maps and untalented mappers.
UT with an even dumber scenario still keeps quite a big community of die-hard players and mappers and moders too. But since you're a part of the RF community, you don't realize other games have big communities too.

Perhaps Trigger isn't gone after all, maybe just hiding? Red Tech was completely gone last night, I tried it four or five times and it wouldn't load, but now it seems to be back.  |

Hmmm extremely worrying. After hearing what happened to MerlinUSA it is especially worrying, I really hope he is ok. |

Actually I was part of the UT community for some time and know how big it is. My point was not about how many play RF or other games. I merely meant that its characters are more memorable. If you saw my page on L4Y products for the shop, that's what I'm talking about. Eos and Capek are known enough to make fun of them. Dumb they may be but they are at least distinguishable enough to poke fun at. Other characters game just don't have that quality for me.

Nope, the only other character i remember is Master Chief, and thats because i hear it soo much... |
