No love for L4Y's Max Payne 2 section these past weeks lol

I'll submit the mod as soon as possible once you guys upload it

Stupid links. It says I'm downloading a file and I have to wait until it is finished but I'm not downloading anything. I really want to play as that slaphead assassin.

You're right, the Hitman mod should be hosted here at L4Y

BTW, I have another MP2 mod which is kinda "unknown". I'm talking about Froz's "Star-Wars Team Commander"
Should I upload the mod and give you the RapidShare link so you can upload it here??
(I still dunno how to use that FTP thingy )

The file works and I found out why! NEVER EVER USE ZIPITFASTPRO! That program somehow did not extract the file properly. Use ZIPGENIOUS!

Huh? I use WinRAR.. So what I have to do? Tell me all the steps.. Thanks!

Well, "Star Wars-Team Commander" is pretty much based on the Jedi Knight games (Jedi Outcast & Jedi Academy).
This mod features two brand new DMW maps: "Yavin Temple" and "Hott Base", it also features new models (Rebels and Stormtroopers) and new laser FX when shooting some weapons. The original mod only had one new weapon (E11-Blaster, replaces ColtCommando), but I decided to add another SW weapon, the "Heavy Repeater" (replaces Striker, but I didn't add any new sounds to it).
Here's a pic for you to have an idea what the mod is about:

I'll upload the mod on RapidShare but, who's gonna upload it here at L4Y?? any volunteers?? If there's one, I'll PM him/her with the RapidShare link

Hey looks pretty cool. So I'm guessing your the Rebel but do you run around in a team? Also wouldn't it be better if there wernt any of the original models (only the new ones) unless they had the new fx - then that would be pretty damned sweet

its just DMW with a sqaud (ur a rebel, and fight alongside other rebels) and u fight storm troopers. its pretty cool for a little while (too bad there werent any story line levels made for it).

btw, i just uploaded the star wars mod to l4y so hopefully it will appear on the site soon, but it appears there was just an update so it might take a little while longer

Xolair i dont get it. can you show with only the ActiveWeapons.dds.
i really wanna do this!

Xolair plz read this:

Here is how i do: I open activeweapons.dds. Then i open up the channel slide. then i press the little square next to the text "Alpha 1". Then all the others but Alpha 1 are un-crossed. now its all black. now im erasing example Desert Eagle line with the eraser tool. now im opening a new blank clipboard. there iam writing example Colt 45 with the Text Writer tool ( the one where you type with keyboard ) then i mark it, copy and paste in the place of Desert Eagle. when im finished i cross ther RGB square. now everything is red but the text "Desert Eagle" is still there. what should i do. copy and paste this in adress:

Picture nr 1: http://img218.imageshack.us/my.php?image=help7be.jpg

Nr 1: as you can see my new names are behind the original.

Picture nr 2: http://img390.imageshack.us/my.php?image=help26vi.jpg

Nr 2: i erased and then put new.

PLZ PLZ HELP!

Well, I dunno how to explain this correctly, but you must ''overpaint'' the whole RGB-channel (including the Red,
Blue etc. -channels) and then write your text over it. I usually use
the original Alpha to carefully put my text into the right original
places and then I overpaint the original Alpha, then activate the
outlines of my newly written text and paint it into the Alpha. The
Alpha doesn't necessarily need to be bigger than the RGB, sometimes
it quite looks stupid that way (black torn edges around the text ), but anyway hopefully you get the point. I'm quite bad at explaining
stuff, so...

well can you explain with better pics?

EDIT: how do i activate outlines? i know pretty much about P-Shop but i dont know hot activ. outlines.

You activate them by just pressing CTRL and clicking on the layer
you've got your text on. Like that.

I'm too lazy to make any pics anymore, sry.
