this game will come out mid 2006 and by then nvidia will have GeForce 8 series. but ill wait till the end of 2006 or even early 2007 and if im right nvidia should have just brung out GeForce 9 series. note the 7800gtx went to 7800gtx 512 insead of geforce 8 coz they were making a transition to 512mb card technology first. but sins this is done they should continue to go through there geforeces  so if i do get a GeForce 9 ill get 2 of them and run them in SLI muhahaha  and coz im planing to upgrade in late 2006 ill get to use AMD's socket 1207 instead of crapy 939  |

I buy a game that has good story and gameplay not the graphics[Thats rare in these times]If a game has real-time terrain deformation and is something like GEO-MOD but much better than i,ll buy it.But since FPS dont have yet an engine like GEO-MOd or any other geometry destruction capable engine then their unrealistic even if they have realistic graphics and physics*COUGH*HL2*COUGH*F.E.A.R*.Comeone grenades and rockets just leave scorch marks?Then thats just an explosive flamethrower  |

what are you all talking about? the source engine can probley kick this in the teeth,that is also not a 'in game' picture, it's actually from the intro movie if i'm not mistaken,but yes UT will look impressive and wont take a great card to power it,a 6600 could do the job easy giving it has 500Mhz Core/1000Mhz Memory with up to date pixle/shadow shaders |

Yes the screenshot looks great, but we've seen pictures like this months ago 
Don't believe the hype on XBox' games. What you're looking at are most of the times render images, the games will look different.
And these will never look better than the PC versions anyway.
UT2004 doesn't have any of these cool direct x features which other games already use. (like Fear, Doom3, Quake4, FarCry, etc) Most people wouldn't be able to play UT04 if it used them. 
Of course the game looks much better now, people got better hardware. I hope this isn't going to be the same game again. - This is just makeup |

Do you guys browse the site differently or something? Because to me this appears to be in the main section lounge, i have noticed alot of people saying it was in the wrong section when it wasnt.
Also when looking for a game to play, graphics are probably one of the last things i look for. |

Yes, It is deffinitely in game graphics. I've played Call of Duty on the Xbox 360 and the graphics on that look almost the same while in game.  |

Yea if you guys ever seen the Gears of War trailer for the XBOX360, which also uses the same engine AND same developers(thank you thorn for reminding me ), the graphics are almost exactly the same. Gears of War is coming out in February in case you're wondering |

Let's get this straightened.
- The Levels4You forum called "Lounge" is located in every section of L4Y, however, they are NOT different, they are all the same forum. L4Y Lounge is located under Levels-4-You Forums, where-as Red Faction's Lounge is located under Red Faction.
- And UT2k7, yea, it may be all great and all. But who cares about having the best vid card, cpu, etc., because within the next few months, it will already be out-of-date. There will ALWAYS be something better to get, but I only advise you to get what you need. This also saves on money 
- I have an AMD Athlon XP+3000 oc'd @ 2.3GHz, and a Nvidia GeForce 6600GT vid card oc'd @ 500MHz/1,000MHz, they run the latest everything at decent settings. That is all I could ask for.
- And about consoles, don't even get me started A computer is just as powerful as any console or even more powerful. Plus, you get better performance and detail on PC anyway, so why worry about a console if you have a decent pc?!
- Also, Pred mentioned Unreal Engine 4, Unreal Engine 3 is what is currently being developed for UT2k7... Soooo... Why would they jump away from 3 to 4?!
- And, if you watched the 05' E3 convention on X-Play, UT2k7 will appear on console, not PC... As to my knowledge on it thus far anyway. |
