Have you ever played any games that made you feel emotional?

Mines was Metal Gear Solid for the PS1...(or probably Max Payne lol )

The storyline it had was brilliant and made you care about the characters especially Snake and Meryll(in my case).

Welcome!
Post 2 / 2

Max Payne 2 tops the charts for me.

I've never played Leisure Suit Larry, but based on sobe and General's comments it sounds like an addiction waiting to happen.

Now that I think about it, I'd be willing to bet that my favorite games have been those that illicited the most emotion from me.

When I become numb to the emotional element, the game loses its luster for me. Then I uninstall it, pop it back in a year or so later on a whim after the game's storyline has faded from memory, and fall in love all over again.

Hell, I've been playing MP2 for like 2 years and I'm still making up different "subtexts" in my head to keep myself emotionally involved with the storyline.

...this where I hope somebody comes in and says "Yah man, I totally do the same thing!" so I can feel like less of a freak.

'Streetfighter II: The Movie' would be mine. I couldn't stop crying because it was so terrible.

Final Fantasy 7

I knew Aeris was going to die, yet it still affected me seeing it. Also the final (3) fights with Sepiroth....much relief & satisfaction after beating him.

Best. RPG. Evar.

Yeah FF7 has to be mine too. Mainly because of when you had to de-jumble Clouds memory of Nibelheim. And when Aeris died. The Jenova after that was the first boss that managed to kill me.

Suikoden.
That bit where Gremio dies was very emotional.

In my spare time I like to write game reviews for Game Revolution.
