I downloaded it, but I don't have the time. I did take a quick overlook of the files though.

To use the engine, we will have to include the header file <irrlicht.h>, which can be found in the Irrlicht Engine SDK directory \include. To let the compiler find this header file, the directory where it is located should be specified somewhere. This is different for every IDE and compiler. I will explain how to do this in Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6.0 and .NET

Good thing my father bought me Microsoft Visual C++ 7.0! lol, I guess now is a good time to learn C++..... Damn it all!

he means rubbish. THE BEST browsers are Firefox or opera depending on your taste. I love firefox because im used to it. The g man likes opera as does beatonator.
Anything other than internet explorer is good, and a lot safer.

Sobe probably uses some weird browser his made himself using second hand peices of code making some dodgey program

haha
Meh...

Actually SkipRat..... I DID create a browser that had a wordpad interface

But I use Mozilla FireFox, Opera is good too, but I just prefer Firefox.

I wish I still had the movie I wanted to show you (or at least a link). If anyone knows where I can find it again, kindly point me to it. Its a picture of a nerd programming in VC++ and after compiling a VC++ compiler error comes up with a message box saying (roughly), "Compiler Error in 08x2443 (or something like that). Compile Failed. What's Worse: Before Failure, Drive C Reformatted to Protect Information"

Then it flashes "PWND!" over top of it all and shows the nerd crying. It was the best animated movie I've seen so far; if only I had it (such great laughs I had showing that in VB class).

Anyway, engine looks promising, and it saves me time in the future (somewhere a while ago, I had this great idea for a game, but forgot about it because it needed a spiffy engine similar to Source; however as far as I know, Source is something developers need express permission (and payoffs) to use, so I couldn't imagine how I'd do it). Thanks Pred, perhaps in 25 years that spiffy idea will come to fruition (if not, I'll still thank you as this engine will still allow me a great reason to Censored around in C++ for a good while (parents aren't taking kind to me learning C++, all because the book I bought for it tells you not to learn it (who listens to the prologue to a book anyway?))). This engine looks spiffy.

I'm definately downloading the games used by this engine, just to test her out. I'm especially looking forward to that FPS game that someone built with Irrlicht. It's only 5 MB, so once the RABCAT video is done, I'll have fun

Well, what do you think I'm going to do? I'm not stupid enough to try to create a game on my first try with the thing. I was merely stating that I might someday try to make a great game out of the thing, if its as good as Pred says (and I've absolutely no reason to doubt him).

I don't know C++ and don't pretend to. What I meant by that statement (above) is that it gives me an actual excuse to learn it (aside from being bored. For some reason, my parents want to know why I want to learn such and such. I figure that since I'm getting the compilers, IDEs, and tutorials/instructions/etc all online, for free, why should i justify my actions? It isn't because the HD is small (still have almost 100 GB free on it), or because I have too much free time (in fact, learning this stuff would take up all my free time, meaning I could spend some time on non-destructive things, such as going online and pwning noobs daily).

Basically, I'm extremely happy that this engine exists, and hope that the developer of it will continue to develop it. This is one of the many times I wish I had money to donate (yes, Garner, L4Y is included in one of the many times I've wanted to donate, but couldn't).

What CD are you talking about (or are you just mentioning the included tutorials and stuff the SDK comes with)?
