I,ll give the specs

CPU=Intel Pentium 3

CPU Speed =466 Mhz

ummm if i remember correctally, its impossible to have a 100mb/sec connection...

and, you should have a minamum of 512 mb ram to play RF good (thats not a offical recomendation, just my personall one)

Well Pred, first of all, you do NOT have a 100MB/s internet line. I just don't see you jumping from dialup to an OC line which costs $8,750+/month just as a starting price for the lowest package.... What you have is a 1MB/s connection, and partially I would say it is your pc. Your pc may not be able to hold your current connection. That is very much a good possibility.

If you would like to custom build a pc like so many, including myself, do. Then, I suggest you take a look at NewEgg

So goober, it is not impossible, in fact, here is the OC line list:
Quoting isp.webopedia.com

OC = Speed
OC-1 = 51.85 Mbps
OC-3 = 155.52 Mbps
OC-12 = 622.08 Mbps
OC-24 = 1.244 Gbps
OC-48 = 2.488 Gbps
OC-192 = 9.952 Gbps
OC-255 = 13.21 Gbps

http://isp.webopedia.com/TERM/O/OC.html

Only people I think that could afford something like OC-255 would be Bill Gates and Oprah.

Pred, while on desktop of Windows. Go to your local connections. Right click on your current DSL connection that is active and click on Status. Take a picture of that and then use ImageShack to upload, then copy the ImageShack direct link to the picture for us to view here. I have a feeling that the issue may be in your Network settings somewhere where it's not receiving the full connection...

512Ram? I dont think so,It's onens GFX card that would be needed to run smoothly,I only have 396 Ram and i get 90-120FPS.. I find it more than playable.

Pred it could always just be your connection line. Are you sure it can handle the faster speeds?

Compare to my rates:

RAM Transfer rate: 11615 MB/s
VRAM Transfer rate: 1070 MB/s
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.    Modified Nov 27th, 03:01pm by Lace

Ping has nothing to do with your graphics card. Ping is the time taken for a packet to reach you from the server (and vice versa).

Graphical lag is something completely seperate. Your graphics card is probably only slightly better than a rock in the right shape.

Pred - you may have a very fast connect... but whats far more likely is that you're on a 100Mbit home network. Windows will tell you that you are connected at 100Mbit because you are... but only as far as your modem.

Fastest home connect speeds I'm aware of is in the region of 30Mbit. They're begining to roll out 28Mbit here in a few select places in the UK (like London and about 2m away from the phone exchange probably ).

umm YES

My specs

CPU=AMD Athlon 64 3000 (939 pin)

CPU Speed =1.8Ghz

Total RAM =1024Mb

RAM transfer rate=7Gb/sec

VRam Transfer rate=14Gb/sec

3d Graphics accelerator= nvidia 6600GT with 1000Mhz 128Mb DDR3

with this kind of stuff it realy helps your ping.
I used to have a Celeron 766Mhz over clocked to 863Mhz with 256Mb of ram. its ping was way higher then any of the computers I have now.I was going to chuck out that compy but a friend gladly took it of my hands. lol what a slow peice of crap that compy was

What Garner said is correct but if you have a crappy PC that also raises your ping because your PC can't send the stuff to your modem fast enough.. so it raises your ping.. that's my personal thought, anyway.

Your internet connection will say "Connected at 100mbps" if you are connected through a LAN. Your NIC card is what transfers at 100mbps, not your internet.

Hmmm try checking ur firewall settings to see if its not blocking ur connection, and like the others said u dont have a 100Mbs connection, ure just connected in to a network of 100Mbs capacity, but ur speed (depending on the internet plan u have) is regulated by the server...
