Never herd of IE Games.. do you mean ID Software? There the ones that made Return To Castle Wolfenstein... They also made Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Doom 2, Ultimate Doom, Final Doom, Doom 3, Heretic, Hexen, Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Quake 4, etc  |

Wasnt Quake 4 made by Raven Software? I know it still has the ID intro but isnt that only because they own the rights? |

Lordseafood is right, Raven Software developed Quake 4, ID was the publisher/rights holders.
Can we all stop fooling ourselves that we're going to make a new game.... Its hard enough getting a small mod made, nevermind coding a new engine and building a game from scratch. Although, there are engines which are free to use, but still no where as easy as making new maps/models for a pre existing game. |

well RF was made in the mellinuim. thats why it doesnt have up-to-date graphics. but as far as the coding a game goes... i think that if we have motovation (IE. selling the game to make money) they we will get a good one done. |

This is what sobe got as an answer first time that site was mentioned here. And to you people dreaming of creating a new game...Volition is a subdivision of THQ, and hence THQ are the copyright holders on anything related to Red Faction, even the name  |

If they are going to make RF3 let it have a decent story.A totally new and powerful engine for RF3 is needed too. |

the basic point i was trying to make in my long post is that. maby the only thing the creators of RF 3 want us to know is that it's in development. and thats all we need to know, just like i know for a fact that resadent evil 5 (not nesasaraly on the xbox) is in development. along with max payne 3 (also not nesasaraly on the xbox) i mean what better whay to keep the public serprized than buy not saying anything. |
