Well Bloodgulch ive been working on since before a quit torlan AWHILE ago. As of Project Torlan's CXP release this past weekend, Torlan is dead.

Well Im getting closer and closer to getting done with Bloodgulch and will be available soon to Frank to do the online testing. I currently just have to get the bots to use the Hellbender. The bots will use the Manta to do Defense and Offense, and the Scorpion, well just anything, well the Blue team does. I might need to redo the RoadPathNodes. Thats about it. I might throw a antiportal (crap is that the name, i cant think of it right now) in the middle under the terrain to try to optimize the rendering of the bases and one in the caves so when your inside the caves, the bases wont be drawn for the player while in them. Other than that, Im pretty much done. Now for screenshots, alot of them, showing some action lol.

Let me know how you want to send me the file.
We could use the FTP in levels4you.com , just upload it to the Red Faction section where I can download it without having to post it. Then once downloaded, I can just delete it from the site/server. Just remember to include a screen shot, description and a read-me file. LOL J/K

Well another update. While Bloodgulch will be online tested through Franks server, I might start on Sidewinder or Gephyrophobia.. After testing is done with BG, BG will undergo its final changes and versions.
These will be the versions:
VCTF-H4T-Bloodgulch
VCTF-H4T2k4-Bloodgulch
VCTF-HUT-Bloodgulch

VCTF-H4T-Bloodgulch will be the regular version except that players and bots can get into the vehicles whenever because they are neutral, so none of that team locked crap.
VCTF-H4T2k4-Bloodgulch will use BigJim's Hellbender, Manta, and Lynx vehicles
VCTF-HUT-Bloodgulch will have HaloUT's weapons, Ghost, Warthog RL,a nd the MouseSteer LAAG Warthog, the vehicles also will be neautral.

Ill update this post later on with screens

Wow it's a big one... I mean it's 40,791,688 Bytes. I'm downloading it now. Won't get a chance to test it until tomorrow(today in a couple of hours). I'm saying tomorrow because I need to get some sleep then I can start the new day that has already started. I've been very busy lately and I haven't even done the RF update.

lol. You and sleep hahaha, when does that happen. The reason its 40mb zipped is mainly because of HaloUTBaseTex.utx, its a large file.

I have made an official decision on the next map to work on, Timberland. Once I get the scaling correct and the terrain UVed and into UED along with Bases and those trees aroudn the endge of the map, Ill try to get some screenshots up. Right now, the current stage of development is this, got it exported from HaloPC, UVing the Terrain, Trees around the border of the map, the stream in the middle of the map and the waterfall that feeds the stream.

For Bloodgulch, once the map is done testing on Franks server (two weeks should be enough testign depending on how many times its played), I will put the final touches on it, which would be sounds and fixed powerups. If you play it online to test it in Fransk server, in the middle and in the red cave, there is a spot were currently a shieldbelt and invisibilty powerup spawn. In the final version, the static meshes will be replaced by the Overshield staticmesh, Camo staticmesh and Overshield pickupsound for the overshield. I cant seem to change the shieldbelt pickup message though to "You Picked Up The Overshield". Oh well, I got time to figure it out lol.

Ive also decided on a current list of the order in which I am going to do these:
1.) Bloodgulch
2.) Timberland
3.) Sidewinder
4.) Infinity
5.) Hange 'Em High
6.) Gephyrophobia
7.) Infinity

The rest of the maps, well, havn't decided on yet.

Well right now, MAJOR MAJOR PROBLEM. yesterday, Unreal Editor was working fine. Today, I start it up and I get a bad error during its loading. It would crash everytime giving some error about the StaticMesh browser. Tried reinstalling the patch for the version i had, nothing. Still got the error. So I reinstalled the entire game, still doing it. So Ive done a System Restore and currently updating to patch 3323 and then ECE

Ok, everything is fine now. After the System Restore, installation of patch 3323, ECE and 3355, everythign is fine.

Hey frank how is Bloodgulch doing on your server? I havnt been on it since I had other thigns to do
