Greetings Gentle Forum Wanderers,
I have had some recent correspondence with an employee of Volition who has an interest in Red Faction. This is not an electronic snow job, not a red herring and not a pile of BS.
How long has Volition had the RF game tracker?
I'm pretty sure we've always had it here.
It went down a month ago - what caused it to go down?
Well, technically, it didn't go down. It is still up and running just fine... it just isn't finding games. That is the problem.
Seriously tho - RF game tracker was down and went unnoticed by personnel until you were made aware and then brought it to their attention?
On our end, it appears to be working as designed. It was only once it was brought to our attention that we noticed it wasn't actually finding games. You have to understand that monitoring the RF server isn't exactly top priority these days.
If and when will game tracker be up again?
It should be back up sometime next week, after the holiday.
In the future, who can be contacted if it goes down again?

seccond thats why i sended hundreds of e-mails to THQ and they didnt answord   |

Please forgive me at this time for not revealing the identity of the Volition employee in question. It was purely out of precaution - I don't want people swamping him with emails both nice and unnice.
If RF Game Tracker comes back up, then I will reveal his identity unless he comes forward on his own before then. Even tho he has already indicated that I can reveal who he is - I refuse to name names or "incriminate" anyone. I just can't do it - I am not a fink!
Edit: I have shared with NoClanFrank additional information regarding RF Game Tracker including the name of the gentlemen in charge of the Volition servers. |

I understand that. I mean I don't really see the game in shelfs any more. From a business stand point of view, if they dropped it altogether I would understand.
From a personal view, that would be messed up. I mean this game, with the amount of players it still has enough life in it for atleast another year.

lol Hapa Hanu. I was gonna replace that with mobo, but that wouldn't fit the end sentence structure using them. And I didn't want to change that part of the line, that makes it funny |
