How about a giant hammer, or maybe an assassin's dagger or something?
Oh, or maybe a half-broken bottle of booze  Hmm more ideas... A can of RAID, A copy of Red Faction 2 or perhaps AOL, Brass knuckles, toothbrush, an anchor, plunger, and... a stool.
Any of those would be fun to wield as a melee weapon--well, to me anyway. |

I think we should make a Sword for the replacement of the Control Baton. Or even better... The Gunblade from FFVIII. Secondary Attack is a sniper bullet! Think about it! |

and it looks very, very bad too
You could to everything with the baton..but as a client side mod, the "weapon" will need a reload animation and an alternative fire mode, just like the riot stick ones.
Guess I'll have to turn on the "crazy thinking part" of my brain
ExoStatic..I LOVE that idea*. I'd love it even more if it was a replacement of the remote charge..! It sings while holding it in the hand, and when dropped it starts to sing another song..
I'm not sure if the audio file stops when the fish explodes, tough. Have to test it.

yea, batons can have alot of replacements. although i did have an idea.
A CELL PHONE!
the default fire is you whacking someone with it (obvisly). and the secondary is taking a picture of them with a camera phone
reload is you plugging in the cord to charge it. (a quick charge though)
what do you think? |

lol nice idea goober!
Just can't think of how the secondary animation shall look like.
It can only be a looping animation, when you stop launching it, the arm suddenly gets pulled back. A high fadeout will avoid a too fast break, tough.
I've got another idea for secondary fire... the antenna of the cell phone (newer ones usually dont have any..) pushes out and back in like a "steam hammer" which causes damage on your victims  |

Or the electric hammer from the simpsons. Primary attack you swing it manually. Secondary attack you press a button and it starts to swing itslef and then to reload you have to replace the batteries
Its both practical and its from the simpsons ... its a win win situation |
