So how would you make a Breakable hollow glass tube that shatters at once (not in sections)?

lil, why not make 8 face brushes and use the vertext editor to make a nice tube and give them all a life of say 50, or you could try stuff and figure it out for yourself

Just do what I said to Spikey and give it a life in the brush's properties.
BUT
It will not shatter because it's not a face brush... but it will break, probably by disappearing.

Yeah thats right, I noticed that with brushes. If you use a normal brush with life and the glass texture, you will not see the glass shatter.

If you use the Brush type "Face" and give it life, you will find that it does shatter. Weird to say, I don't quite understand why it does that but its the way it has to be

And only 4-sided detail face brushes will shatter too. A 6-sided face brush, for example, will disapear when shot, with no shattering effect.
