Well create a solid detail cylinder. Put a smaller air cylinder inside. Calculate. Texture with glass on both side or if you prefer glass outside and invisible inside.
I do that, The glass has to be Transparent using "Detail" properties on the brush. The airbrush does not show up in the centre of the cylinder with "Detailed" checked on the brush properties on the solid Cylinder.
When "Detailed" is not checked, the glass does not become Transparent. Is there any other methods to achieve this?
1. Make a solid cylinder and an air cylinder inside it.
2. Select both solid and air tubes and press the Carve button.
3. Delete the Air-brush from within.
4. Make the tube you have created a Detail Brush.
5. Texture it with a suitable glass texture.
yup, some might don't know that theres still remains the air brush. In some cases it becomes hard to get that one selected and removed. Just click enough times

Cheeky Tip:
After you carve you are always left with the solid brush selected. Simply press Q to make it unselectable and click again on it to select the air-brush inside. You can then delete that brush and a quick Shift+Q brings the solid brush back to life

Mad ferrit is specially skilled to explain obvious things to people that can be arsed reading the tutorial included in RED.
But beware guys. Licking his CENSORED won't give you half of his mastery.

If I ever get to where I am going, will I know when I am there?
Already know about Q and H functions in RED ... Ive been mapping ever since the game came out so ive mastered the Editor now. There are just small things I don't know about yet but Im yet to learn about them when the time comes . No one is CENSORED licking anyone... The best part of it all is that they are willing to actually help out and give you as much support as they cane
Thats what makes these guys great on the L4Y forums
