Hey V13K. Glad to see you.

I'm gonna have to format my PC and reload Windows. I've lost some drivers for my CDRW/CDROM and DVD drives that were being used by Windows since I got the PC and now I can't use any other drivers for my hardware. I've tried to install drivers from the actual manufacturer of my cdrom drives and it still didn't work. So this mod will have to wait a little while before I do anything else to it. I can't even save what I've added to my mod in the past week or so to cd because my burner won't work. So I'm gonna save all of the changes to many many floppy disks. Stay posted. This will be a very small task. Plus I haven't formatted my PC in more then 5 years. It's about time.

if you ever get a burnt on a cd you can always try your local library to upload it lol... usally they have computers and dsl.. so that would work i guess.. but i think it may take a few hours still to upload and i dont think you want to sit in a library for 4 hours... unless you like reading!

Thanks for the idea. But you're right, I don't want to wait around in a library. I'll only need about 10 or so floppy's. I'm just saving the last changes that I made to floppy, not the entire mod. Most of it is already on disc.

I'm rebuilding the katana fighting system to make it even better and far more powerful. Hopefully by the end of it you will be able to take out close enemies on all sides of you with attack moves that are extremely deadly. It's kinda like Gunkata with a sword. Of course you'll still have magical sword attacks with projectiles and such, but you'll also have the ability to defend yourself against groups of enemies with some nice sword skills. I've been playing the heck out of the new Matrix game, Path of Neo, and so I have some great inspiration for the sword system now. It's gonna rock.

Yes about that Path Of Neo game.... ( this is off topic so move it if u want to ) Any1 have any idea why it is lagging like SHIAT for me even when i run it on the lowest graphic options avaliable. And the sword fighting does rock, especially when u bring 3 ppl inte one combo !!!

Great anims in the game and all, but the shooting sucks and it lags for unknown reason.... ( many of u are modders and experts so i wouldnt mind getting some hints )
Err, uumh.. AAAH, What the HECK!!
U TRY and think of a good signature!!

Its simple....don't even bother play it on PC...I played the PC version first, then went out & bought the PS2 version.

Its FAR better on console.

This sort of game was meant to be played on console. Even Dave Perry himself (founder of Shiny) essentially says the PS2 version is superior to the PC.

On Topic: good luck with saving your stuff to floppy VG, you are a brave mofo!

well all i've played is the Xbox version...
i have beaten the game twice and :

have experianced no framrate problems...

one or two camera problems(due to being in a VERY confined space and performing a finishing move where the camera tried to do a cool cinematic angle, but only shot the other side of a wall...)

and only a few minor graphical errors...(leaves and hair n'such getting a sort of "strobe" effect for a second...and then a little clipping here and there, mainly involving the HUGE "dress" he wears in the later levels...

so maybe i'm lucky...or perhaps not as observant as i think i am...

anywhoo...i think it's an overall excellent game and i am no longer ashamed to say that i am a Matrix fan once again...

...do not focus on the finger or you will miss ALL THAT HEAVENLY GLORY...    Modified Dec 9th, 10:36am by xXLoGaNXx

Dont listen to who? Nobody said anything about his mod not being/looking good.

I played the burlybrawl bit about 3 times in a row because of how cool it was and the awesome button bashing combos I was doing to them. *IDEA!* Don't know if you can map or not but having a DMW map of that place and asking MurphySk8 for his agent Smith skin would be such an awesome level for testing all that katana stuff.

When they ported the game over to PC, they had many many problems come up. Many many magazines stressed to everybody not to buy the PC version of the Path of Neo. It had worse effects and graphics then both of the console versions. The PC version was stripped of practically every graphical enhancement to help the awful framerate. I mean the PC version doesn't even use bloom effects or pixel shaders even though the console versions do and still it will lag like crazy. Whoever bought the PC version needs to start reading magazines a lot more or online reviews. Shiny Entertainment sucks. This game would have been amazing on the PC if it had been tweaked further instead of being ported over with extreme neglect on their part. It's like they didn't even try for us PC Gamers. They could have released modding tools with it to make it last longer in the PC community too. But they won't. Imagine the mods we could have made. I guess some developers just don't get it when it comes to PC Games.

And whoever said that this sort of game needs to be played on a console needs to up their game a bit more when it comes to PC Games. I can play any kind of game on my PC. Any kind of game with just my keyboard and mouse. I conquered Enter the Matrix even though it downright sucked with my mouse and keyboard setup. I was completely unstoppable. Same goes for any fighting game. Maybe some people just can't grasp the keyboard as I have, but anybody can play any kind of game on the PC and win every single time. Trust me. Infinite button configurations equals more power. There's always a perfect setup.

I was able to get my cd drives to work so I saved the latest changes that I made to my mod on a cd. So now I don't have to save the newer changes to floppy. I'll be adding away to my mod now until I format and reinstall Windows XP. I still have to do that because my OS is very very harshed, but i can still save my newest features.

yes, its ironic that PC has the potential to be the most powerful console (I dont care what you say, this includes PS3, Xbox360 and Nintendo Revolution, PC HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE THE BEST) and the games on it are dulled over the most, another example of this is the SpiderMan 2 game.
back onto the topic, man, is it crazy to ask for a christmas release for this mod?

I'm afraid it is. I'm really adding to the katana system. It's really gonna be fun to use. Of course I'll be playing new games this Christmas season so work on the mod may slow down a bit. But don't worry, I'm not gonna throw away 2 years of work for nothing. Never. The work may slow but the mod will get done. That katana system is all I have left. If I had somebody else animating for me that would be great. But not to many people can help, and I don't know if I would like their work or not. I'm a perfectionist. It will be done very early next year for sure with lot's of cool gameplay enhancements like MP2 specific Gunkata and the Katana fighting system of course.

Be patient my friends,
VG
