| Max Payne 2 : Site Feedback : Max Payne 2 downloading woes |

I've tried about 5 different mods, including EQ Gun kata, cinema and vampire slayer, and when the "select a server" screen comes up I click on the Download button, and NOTHING happens.
Pleease help (i'm probably just doing something wrong)  |

same thing happened to me, i just right clicked on the link (in IE) and clicked "open in a new window" but in firefox, "open in a new window" or "open in new tab" doesn't show up when right clicking on the link.

The download button opens up a popup window for the queue. Disable any popup blockers and try again.
You can't open up the queue in a new window because it runs off Javascript. |

tried opening in a new window and save target as in explorer.
Save target as just won't work, says"no such interface supported"
Opening in new window gives me a "Cannot find server" at the start of the URL it says: javascript: void
This is really annoying me now, could someone get back to me |

It's a popup window, just left-click on the download button and the queue window will open, when the download is ready, left click on the link and the download will begin. |

this whole downloading thing sucks anyway, why did you guys actually do this? relink after relink and queu's...man the site only got worse since the refresh, i hate the Mp2 section, that pic is just awfull... the only thing im around here is because this is the only place where all the mods are hosted, but that is gonna change soon...
the forums are filled with dumb questions, man where is Mp2 going these days, no one respect this game anymore? what hurst me most is that everybody is begging for HoM and SF (let those people finsih their mod IN PEACE!), but they forget the real work, non media CENSORED , the work still in the hearths of fans, keeping things secret, developing because they love the game and wanna amuse people like YOU! accept this and look more then this small bulletin board, ''max payne'' fans these days dont look further then their nose is...jeez that pisses me off, HoM and SF get all the attention , and all those CENSORED nice mods out there dont, these people worked hard on their CENSORED ! Regou Ops, The Hell Unchained, Blood Will Tell, Blade Tc... You create a mod because you like to do it or not, trying to get famous wich is is really pathetic..
And dont get me wrong, those mods are cool, but its not fair against others. I know these guys who made these mods really well, and they are nice people, wanna help you with everything needed etc etc. Its more fair to judge people on how they are and not because their projetc is so damn good...
you people do not know what you are missing... |

Why you are looking only this forum???? all projects on maxpayneforums.com You- fans can really help to moders with cool and original ideas. but you are sitting here and talking about why all mods are so unoriginal....

To be honest, you can't get angry over the individuals here. I think that because of the current drought in mod releases people are just looking foward to the major releases. Less publicised mods are still wanted and really are what keeps the community alive. Anyone who has been a follower of the Max Payne mod community as long as me know this and support the mods that aren't always in the limelight.
Also, the posts here are only made by a small minority (and by people with very low postcounts I've noticed), so they can't really reflect the entire community.
The queueing system is just a way to make sure the the site's bandwidth (which does cost a substantial amount of money) is used as effectivley as possible to provide such a wide community with such a wide range of conent.
If you still have any beefs take it up with Garner, I just work here. For no money may I add, not even Garner makes a penny from this site.
As for the image, I don't like it either. It came with the new site and I haven't had the time to change it. |

I so totally agree! I remember getting into an argument on the forums about the fact that theres no originality in mp2 mod these days. But if you say something like that people get annoyed and tell you to do something about it! Also why bother creating something totally original, maybes not that brilliant coding, but has great artwork etc. when people get exstatic over licened mods, (can you called them licenced? >_< ? |

haha thnx i get some support here.
Look i would like to apologise for my previous post, that just was really weird and bad. But i had to say it, because if i dont do it nobody will. Thorn, what you say is correct. But it looks like these people dont know about the existance of other mods. They only talk about SF and HoM here and weird questions. That hurts, because like any other modder you feel you did everything for CENSORED . And no, not to get attention, it feels like, i have candy and you dont...
there is no drought in mods, ok i commit. Max Payne these days is very quiet and in about a year the Max Payne community will be dead..
There are still nice projects out there in development just like SF and HoM are now. And even some secret ones (and no i aint gonna tell about it)!
But i dont have anything against less experianced people, they have to learn modding too, but somethimes its getting very crazy. ''uhm, can i unpack max payne 2 ?'' is the best example.
The queueing system we have to accept then, tough its very annoying. And do you actually want money for working here? I work at paynereactor and im happy i dont get paid, i do this because i love it, like a hobby. |

The only reason I joined is because I was such a fan. I mentioned the fact nobody gets payed because some people think we are doing a DeviantArt and turning our site into a business. |

CENSORED ty thing, i know some dudes are thinking of making a Max Payne site dedicated to downloads, noly they cant find a nice server for direct downloads |

Whoa, if we get money by working here, do we have to give money to the site? lol i know this question is stupid but i seriously wanna be a staff member for the Max Payne Community here because i fell in love with this series for 3 years and counting. Plus, i think im in Thorn's shortlist....i hope lol.  |
