Quote | We haven't announced any red faction sequels. I'd take that site with a
grain of salt.

Comments: I noticed that on
http://www.msxbox-world.com/xbox360/games/games/11/Red-Faction-3.html I see
Red Faction 3 for Xbox 360. This appears to be accurate, however, will it be
made for PC as well? Because if not that brings the gaming community
down......
Please Reply,
Thanks,

If a FPS won´t make it to the PC, personal computer gaming is officially at risk of dying. |

Probably only the members playing RF
The point is that they state they haven't announced any sequel at all. |
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. |

Red Faction was successful by accident. It was just another Half Life Clone. That doesn't make it a bad game. The thing that made it a great game though, was the community. The players and the mappers.
RF2 was crap. It was made for consoles and it showed. Forget about multi, the SP element was never going to go down in history as anything other than yet another mediocre FPS.
Can't really blame them for that though. Look at Halo. One of the greatest ever console games but it just couldn't live up to the competition when it came to PC FPS games.
Even if RF3 comes out for PC it will probably be a crappy PC port of a game that, at most, impressed on the new XBox and fails to impress at any level on PC.
Sorry for pouring cold water on this but it just aint gonna happen. At least not as we want it to happen.
Just enjoy RF while it's still here and all the countless hours of work that went into creating the RF community both inside and outside the game.
Cheers mappers, modders (the good kind) and playas.
and bongo jams a speciality. |

I'm the one who first posted that site, yes. It was the first thing I ever found on RF3 that wasn't a forum. I wasn't saying that it was going to come out on PC, but it is possible.
Btw, the entire site is down. |
