OTHER: (I added this info in an edit, sorry about the lack of an "Other" Option)
If you want to vote for a game that isn’t here, simply mention it in a post, and I’ll try and add it to the "COMPLETE POLL" at the bottom.
CRITERIA:
(How I picked the games)
Games that are the 3rd and most recent in a series. i.e. A 4th has not been released yet.
Additionally, they must have 3D graphics.
COMMENTS:
I would love to put in more games, but alas, there are but 8 slots.
Tis a motley collection that includes, Doom 3, Warcraft 3, & Silent Hill 3.
This selection is a bit random, but I hope everyone has fun with the poll anyway.

You should of put a 'Other' option as there are loads of game's that have had more then 3 series.
Mine has to be Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind... it is the best RPG that i have ever played |

Thanks for the posts guys.
I agree The_Doc, an "Other" option would have been good.
I started writing the poll options into the slots directly, then I decided I should probly gather them into ms-word first. I realized after posting the poll, that the poll options I took down in ms-word had not replaced all the ones in the actual slots. Specifically Morrowind was supposed to replace Quake 3.
...sigh... (my first poll, and I worked so hard not to mess it up. Kind of funny.)
At any rate, yes, Morrowind is very cool. I recently got the "World of faces" mod which has around 650 additions. I recommend it.

As for Doom 3, well put DaveMan_CI. Doom 3 is amazing. I feel a bit bad for the guys at "id" though. They obviously worked as hard on that game as Valve did on HL2, but Doom 3 seemed to suffer the wrath of reviewers a lot more.
As an interesting aside, it's worth seeing a rendering method called "Relief Mapping". It's similar to bump mapping but it produces an effect that looks almost exactly like actual 3D geometry.
I mention it because there is a third party patch that allows Doom 3 use this rendering technique. (there is also a movie of it in action.)

Burnout 3 Is easily the my favorite racing game. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it.

I would like Burnout 3 more if it wasnt EAified that is the crap music and stupid Crash FM and it also doesnt have counters for drift and oncoming  .
If Burnout 2 and 3 were to have some kind hybrid lovechild without any input by EA ----- Best. Game. Ever.
I still like it though (just gotta turn music off)  |

LordSeafood you are exactly right. However one cool thing about Burnout 3, music wise, is that it's the only xbox game I have seen that allows you to use custom soundtracks. (I know there are others, but I have never held one.). As for Crash FM... I dislike it so much, I feel like making a grammatically incorrect haiku about it... |

Haha hundreds of xbox games have custom soundtracks....
I dunno what id go for.... tomb raider 3 at the time was wicked.

BURNOUT definatly love that game. Duke what u got it on the ps2? if u got it on xbox live ill give u a race sometime man.
TIMESPLITTERS 3 gets my vote actually. Love that game |

With regard to custom soundtracks, as I said I'm sure there are quite a few games that support them. I have never actually seen one in person other than Burnout 3.
As for there being "hundreds" of XBOX games that support custom soundtracks.
At present there are a little over 500 XBOX games. If "hundreds" meant around 250, then 1 out of every 2 XBOX games would support custom soundtracks. While I don't think there are that many, I may have just been unlucky.
I've haven't gotten to play TimeSplitters 3 yet, but I've seen it played, and it looks asome! Good pick SkipRat.
As an aside, cool user name.

I agree, I love Morrowind. In fact to quote my very first post not including the Poll.

Before I continue I would like to point out that, "Mr. McStickyMick" is fun to say.
As for Morrowind not being in the list, I also explain that in the same post. It was supposed to replace Quake 3, but I inadvertently didn't copy Morrowind in to the option field before submitting the poll. I apologize for that. If you look below the official poll results however, you'll see that I am informally tracking the poll results for all the games voted for including games voted for in posts, and your vote has been added as of this message. Infact your pushed morrowind up to tie with Doom3, and Burnout3. Burnout3 you probably noticed is also not in the official list.

i never played any of the previous morrowinds so i wouldnt know what to expect from 3, which is the one i have
i like morrowind and all, but the fighting scenario's are just too. flimsy...  Then that over used crack sound when you get hit, it even plays when your stuck in lava when it should sound like burning.
*swing* *crack* *fireball* *crack sounds* *death*
i dont get it, the combat system could have definatley been improved.
but.... i voted for doom3 |

I agree D2k, the game itself is brilliant but the combat system was rubbish. I still play the game nearly every single day and my stats rule and i am the highest rank you can be with the imperials
