Hello

Someone know the real technique to set blood decal .tga correctly, to remove the white contour?

I test many methode, and the only thing work was (De-Interlace photoshop filter), but it blur the resolution of the texture.

I redo 2 RF blood decal to be more realistic, and i take the third one in "Soldier of Forturne II", and it dosen't have this "white contour bug".



Plz, if someone know this little thing, tell me! I dont want to waste a lot of time on this

As far as I know, it has something to do with the background color of the image.
The color around the blood is gray on some textures.
Because of the "feather" of the alpha selection the game takes a little larger selection (makes it smoother) and the color around it will appear.

I think you might get around that bug if you'd change this gray color to a dark red.

I don't know why they drew the textures like that anyway..

I tested with color background, but with no goOd succes... I finaly got the ultimate way lol

In Photoshop, use the Filter/Sharpen/Unsharp Mask...

I dont know, if i will leave it as they are now, or rebuild new one again, because we can see pixelisation in the original decal. Anyway, is better than orange blood
