I know Ued reads from a Packfile for its textures.

however RED can read TGA's as well as VPP packfiles. I tried to import a RF TGA and it kind of crashed my Ued. How can I import a RF TGA? What format does Ued read? Do I need to pack it into a file first? if so what tool do I use? where do I get it from?
Trying to find old players. Anyone about? Drop me a PM or reply to this thread:

Ok, thanks. So I need to convert any textures I want to use into BMPs? Any particular format of BMP? 256? 128? Black and White? Im guessing the 256 one is fine.

I have imported many TGAs from RF
What version of Ued u've been using?

Have you changed something on the file format? (DTX3 or something like that..)
You should also uncheck "generate mip maps" and "detail hack" (something like that..)

RF textures are usually very small and need no additional mip textures.
Detail hack..no clue what that is, has probably something to do with the detail texture.

Have you saved the TGA with photoshop? I get problems when I save images in TGA format with photoshop (7 I think) and then load them in RF. They crash RED, and appear strangely in RF.
