Is it possible to mirror a brush. Basicly flip the brush but in a mirrored state. I would just flip the brush but its got some detail in it thats not the same on each of the sides. I did a search looking for key words "mirror brushes" "mirror" "flip brush" and came up with nothing. I hope its possible. Im dreading the fact I might have to create the same exact brushes mirrored.

Without having RED open on this machine I cannot give you the best explaination as to what to do, but I don't think it's possible to merely flip a brush around a given axis.

What about copy and pasting the brush and manipulating it in vertex mode to mirror the other brush?

I have been in the same boat before, and it's just a case of planning. If you knew you wanted 2 of these brushes then it woulda been a damn site easier to construct them simulataneously. That's obviously not gonna help you now but i fear you may just have to repeat the process.

Thanks mad, Ill take your word for it. And your right, I didnt plan on making the same brushes mirrored untill after I was finished. My only choice it to vertex it which aint all that bad but still a pain in the bootay, just takes a lot of patiants and a sharp eye. Again, thinks for the help mad

Keeping to as big a grid size as possible when you're making stuff like this will help you no end. If you can limit movements to a maximum of 0.25 RF metres then you're not having to fiddle around as much...

Tip
Press Q to lock selected brushes, (Shift+Q to unlock) or Hide with H; (Shift+H to unhide) all of the brushes on the map apart from the ones you want to modify will help you enourmously as only the vertices on the active brush(es) will show up, meaning that you wont accidentally be moving vertices on any other brushes when you're modifying them

...but I'm sure you already knew that

SWEET! I didnt know about that trick. It dose become a pain when you have vertexs all around the point you want to move or click. With your tip, map making for me just got easier. Thanks mad! Im still pretty much novice at knowing the tools in RED.

It is one of the most useful things to be able to do... without it i could not be arsed mapping... I live in vertex and face mode when I'm in RED, vertexing a complicated map with all vertices in view is just a fricking nightmare.

Use it for texturing, or anything
