can someone tell me how to make water in a red faction map or give me a link to a faq or something? thanks.

toss a room effect (object) into your map and then near the top of the room effect properties change the effect type to "liquid room" and then hit ok. after just go into the properties again and adjust the water value, the changes should be visible then.
In the room effects properties:
You can also change the depth of the water and select its waveform.
there is also a part that says Surface texture pixels per meter. here you can uv unrap the texture of the water. the lower you go the less pixels you have in the water the higher(which I think is like 215) the more pixels you get, but make sure the "u" and "v" are equal
To select a texture for the water: there is a part that says surface bitmap. click browse and search for the liquids folder then double click on the texture you want and hit enter
