Okay, my DVD-ROM drive on my computer no longer works.
It has always worked, playing dvds and cds, games etc. But one day it just decided not to work. It doesn't read ANY disc i put in there, the drive whirrs for a while, but nothing happens.
When I go into My Computer and double-click on the drive, trying to open the disc, it simpy says 'please instert a disc into drive d'
- I havent recently installed any new drivers or anything
- I havent been playing around inside my computer
- I havent been kicking and/or punching my computer
- I have no idea why it doesnt work!
Any ideas?

try to clean your dvd lens, it could be dirty.
it could also be an connection problem, open your pc(after unplugging everything) and push the wires on, you could also pull it out and blow it clean so the connection is clean for shure.
if thows 2 way's doesn't work then it has to be an software problem, i cant know what it is from here on.

heh a new drive isnt much money - but thats not the point is it....
You might need to format if the worst comes to the worst... my dvd drive messed up when SP2 first come out, a format sorted it.
Meh...

Some DVD-ROM drives have issues every now and then. Try opening the drive, then pushing it back in with a slight amount of force. That's what I had to do when I first got mine and I did that maybe 2 or 3 times and since, it's run perfect
