I think Battle Royale would make an excellent mod someone make it!
For anyone that doesn't know about it, 'Battle Royale' is a Japanese film set in world were the children are out of control and threatening the countrie's development, to remedy this situation the government start a program where students from a school are picked randomly to enter a military controlled island where they must kill each other and the last one alive is the winner. Also on this island are two students that are 'exchange students' they have already taken part in and won a previous Battle Royale and are vastly better fighters. Before they leave to go to the island all the students are given bags that contain food and a random weapon, for example one student might have a spoon and another an Uzi!
I am getting Far Cry soon so I think that it would be easier to make in that, but let me know what you think |

Yes that movie is an excellent cult movie (and by cult i dont mean one of those crazy assed cults that go around drinkning peoples blood and stuff  )
i never understood why people get upset about violent content in movies ... ITS A MOVIE!!! none of it is real (for the most part) and if you want to replicate what is in movies then you deserve to get hurt for being so stupid  |

That was a great movie, I remember years ago when i had visions of a Battle Royale mod for Red Faction. So a HL2 mod would be awesome! |

Yeah, people that watch hanibal and then go and eat people, or people who watch reservior dogs and go cut someones ear off, or people who play GTA go and run over old ladies were CENSORED insane to begin with, violence in fims does not make people violent. The worst effect a film had on me was watching starwars caused me to get whacked in the head by a broom stick.
Anyway some of the most violent and dark films/books/games are so striking because they are a reflection of human nature. It might not portray something that is real, or even acceptable in todays society, but is shows how society can break down, and how humans can behave when driven by the right (or wrong) forces.
Take 1984, Animal Farm, Battle Royale, Lord of the Flys, The Portrait of Dorian Grey, The Facist Republic Salo. Wether fact or fiction, all command such a following because they show the extent of what human nature can be capable of. Infact, in their most part they are a deterent to that kind of behaviour rather than an encouragement towards it.

u got to make sure that the gore is ridiculous in the mod like it is in the movie. And u got to be able to play as the guy wit the orange hair (that guy is 1337) |
