Could someone please help me with my small issue.

My sister's pc which I am currently finished with has an onboard ethernet port and also has the Win98se OS on it. With WinXP OS I can plug and play with a spare Cat5e cable and router, but on Win98 which is a DOS based it will not work as plug and play. Any suggestions?

I have tried Internet Connection wizard and didn't find what I needed, unless there was something I missed with it.

Could someone please tell me what I would do to find out if the ethernet adapter is even enabled. On WinXP I can click on Show All Connections..... lol

Thanks,
sobe

Win98 is plug n play... just XP has the drivers for many items built in. You'll need to download the driver for the onboard network adapter from the manufacturer of the motherboard.

you should try the ASUS site and all information should be in the user manual.
