ive got a problem. in hl2 when i move away from most objects the game doesnt render them. Is there a command i could use to stop this or is this a video card problem?

Sounds like your vid card... Could you post the vid card you are using and which drivers you are using with it?

Also, what "objects" are not rendering?

After looking at your Computer 1 details in your profile.... I can't say too much except you NEED more RAM(memory). I would recommend at LEAST 256MB. And if you could I would really recommend 512MB.

That could be partially the problem. And I notice 733MHz cpu! HL2 needs about 1GHz. You should know better than that.

Please post your vid card + specs here.

yeah i kinda didnt expect hl2 to work but it was half price and ive been looking for a new pc for ages. Anyway i cant put anymore ram in because i can only have 3 chips and the only ones i got are 64mb chips. My video card is a nvidia vanta/vanta LT i think. Where do i check which driver i am using?

Might I suggest you get that new $299 Dell 2100(or 3200, I can't remember).

It will play it without a problem.
