Here is one weird question since I run this term nearly in every webpage but I haven't got any sense making anwsers so I ask here too. What are HTML or PHP templates ? and how they can be used.

Templates are like style sheets man, They apply a certain design/ layout to the code of the site... so the text will stay the same but diffrent styles can be applied

We use a single template here on L4Y its how all sections of the site have exactly the same layout - they all use the same one template.

The template just defines the layout - in our case HTML code that is used to position where the individual components of the page sit. Different CSS files/images make each section of the site look different.

PHP is often considered to be a template engine although the PHP software 'Smarty' formalises a PHP templating engine.

Okay that clears me enough for now. I was interested to know what purpose templates are as I am desinging my multisection website.
So I don't think that I need templates yet.

Templates are good for use on any site.

As soon as you have a website where more than one page uses the same layout its templating time.
