Whats up. Im having some confusion about the object turrents in my map Im building. When I tested my map with someone else, they couldnt see the turrents nor did the turrents effect them. I could see them (I was server). Next test was my buddy was to make the server. It was Vis-ver-sa. He could see them now and not me. Is there something I did wrong or is there a way where the players connected to the server can see and be affected by the object turrents? Any advise would be much appreciated

Nice thinking. Make a moveing brush with an invisable texture (the brush would crush you) in the area you wish the player not to be in. In multi you dont see the bullets comming out to the entitie turrent anyways. Build a turrent the best you can out of brushes. Make a brush that looks like a spark and put in inside the brush turrent. Make the spark brush bounce back and forth from the inside of the turrent to the nozzle tip and use the sound effect (turrent attack) for the moving spark. Use the sound effect (bullet hit wall or what ever its called) on the brush that kills you) Of course the timings and keyframes between the spark and the brush that kills you would have to be perfect. I think it would work but at what cost of realizum. Thanks Pack Hunter for the idea.

Have a look at this map.
It has mounted machine guns that actually kill you.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.    Modified Jul 23rd, 06:20am by Lace
