Recently my IP address was banned from this site
which ticked me off immensly since I was banned on a day which I was not even online or before and after that date for two weeks because my modem got fried twice during a storm and needed to be replaced both times
and afterwards when I came back it said I was banned til a certain date but that date had already past in the previous monthand It still wouldn't let me back on after that
I would like to talk to some admin to find out what the !@#$%& happenned!! |

you probably did something stupid. You don't get banned around here unless there is a damn good reason... TRUST ME ON THIS! 
And posting something like this is gonna get you banned again if an admin finds out who the 'returning menace' is. So if you did something really stupid then dont expect to be here for long. then again if you got banned for spamming and creaetd a new account and promise to be good mabye youll get another chance.  |

Sometimes the admin do a wildcard ban... especially if there is a troublesome user on dial-up with a rotating IP who cannot be nailed down... then they might temporarily ban the entire IP string until the problem is alleviated. If you have done nothing wrong ever on this site, this could be a good reason. |

It could be due to several reasons, a few people have been banned for trying the wrong log-in for too many times, it might be when you re-connected you got an already Banned IP, if that is the case you are really unlucky! try disconnecting if your 56K. Or if your a static IP, wait for Garner to reply, however he will need your original Username and IP address. |

Heh im always getting my password wrong. But ive never been banned. It always warns me that i will be mind.
Off topic ish : garner when i get my "word" for staff login wrong. it tells me its sent you a log of this. Do you actually get logs or not? |

If you fail to login more than 3 times your IP is banned for 24 hours.
There was a bug with the auto unban, that has already been solved.
Skip - site logs everything. Usernames, IP's, time, and reason for the log.
There are around 32,000 log entries for the past month. |

Oh really. then explain why there are so many banned IPs when I click view banned IPs with a date that claims the ban expires.
One more question, am I suppose to unbanned the expired IPs or just let them be? 
The only IP I have removed was from Hermit and he got banned because he kept forgetting his password and he tried logging on too many times with errors. |

They will only be unbanned if they're used again. Until then the site forgets about them. |

It was probably because I forgot my password a few times in a row
it said i was banned for 24 hours
but I stopped comin to the site for a week
and then kept trying everyday for another week and it still said I was banned for 24 hours
it even had a date for when the ban would be lifted
but I was way past that date by now
and no I have done nothing wrong
I think
no spam
normally I don't even post
but I wanted to start a ut2004 custom vehicle and had no idea how to
but anyways thats it |
