Before RFSA 4.0 shuts down, do you get any errors? Also have you tried patching it with this patch to see if it helps? I DL the RF server assist. It is not an .exe, .rar or zip file. What do i use to open/run or extract it? Thanks for your help...... I've reinstalled it but dun wanna install SP2 screws up the firewall settings and what version does the patch do ? 4.1? It still keeps it at 4.0 but the update allows you to view files that are in a single .vpp. For instance, I have my own and several other maps by authors on a single .vpp. The update fixes that. SP2 has a much better firewall. Also, I've seen RFSA stop responding if there is a 0kb file in the maps folder. Check to make sure you don't have a phantom file. Also, is RF installed in the default directory? C:\games\red faction? I initially installed it elsewhere and couldn't get RFSA to run until I reinstalled in the default directory. Now, granted, that was an older version of RFSA, so it may not matter now, but its something to check.
