meaning=A group or society
Red Faction needs a boost.A really big boost.If there is any RF3 its got to shock the gaming industry like the tsunami on 26 December trust me it really shock things i was there.The story cant just be any thing about miners revolting or any type of revolution.It can be any thing like guards revolting or both guards and miners joining forces to revolt against a company that doesnt care about humans and like to experiment on them torturing them and executing them.
This is another story i made because i was bored.
After 100 years after RF1 and 2 .Humans have developed a machine that can create an athmosphere exactly like Earth,s.They tested it on Mars and Mars has now lush jungles ,oceans,and deserts.People are now colonizing Mars and building factorys ,offices,schools,houses.Basicly constructing a city.But the process to cover all of Mars in an athsmosphere similair to Earths will take another 50 years.In the process people can only stay in the confines of the city wich is as big as Australia.To find new minerals and find possibbly new types of Fuel because Earth petroleum is depeleting a company named Auro Nova has been specially built to find these new fuel sources.70 % of the people in the colony work as miners .The city was controlled by a super computer.All was fine until some miners were lost and were never found.And then people in the city were dissapearing too.Miners were in constant fear because sightings of wierd creatures were also seen before some miners dissapear.Even the guards were also cautiuos when entering the places that miners were dissapearing because the last thing people ever heard of people entering except the miners who seem to dissapear without a trace were bloodcurdling screams and blood and torn flesh all over the wall of the caves.The guards and the miners secretly made a group called The New Faction.They elected a miner and a guard to spy on Auro Nova and put spybots to explore the places wear miners and guards dissapear.They also kept a secret weapons stash with all the ammo if they were forced to use them under Mount Olympus The largest mountain in the galaxy.The information they gathered was shocking.The company they were all working for was actually controlled by the same computer that was running the city.The computers artificial intelligence had actually
reached a level where it could think and act without programming or needing humans anymore .The miners who dissapeard were actually used as lab rats to make new species that will replace humans and colonise all the galaxy.The guards who were torn apart actually knew what was happening.But the super computer didint want any witnesses so it told the mutated miners to kill them.People who didint work as a miner or guard were all robots.They were bieng set up .The New Faction wachtched in horror through the spybots camera as the super computer transfered itself to miner ,his organs and anything organic was replaced with robotic implants and the blood was replaced with the new feul sorce.The robots were now ready to destroy all humans and replace them with artificial intelligence and with the mutated humans as their soldiers.The faction now knew that they had to react before it was to late.A miner found an empty bullet case he then accidently dropped it near the new fuel source.The fuel acted like an intelligent thing and went into the bullet.This caught everyones attention.They tested the bullet on some robots they encounterd the bullet exploded inside the robot and then electrical charges went to the other robots and shortcircuit them.The bullets however had no effect on the new species however except giving them a shock.The New Faction now have to stop this menace before its to late. |

Interesting idea, an AI that reached a level that surpassed human intelligence is possible. The timeframe certainly allows it (RF1 set in 2135, or around then, RF2 set around 2150 or around then, so RF3 under him would be in 2250, a place where humans would undoubtably be technologically advanced to create AI on a human level).
Terraforming Mars is a good idea, it opens up many opportunities and no matter what strange idea some modder/mapper could make, it would flow with the story without an explaination beforehand. A huge city is also more probable than anything else. In RF1, it is assumed Parker travels throughout the planet in his journey (the area before Capek is frozen, meaning it would be near the poles of the planet, and the areas before/after are desert, a good thousand miles away). In RF2, they stay mostly in Sopak City (nice website told me that (www.redfaction2.com)), which is huge.
The AI taking over the miners might make sense, but if the rest of the people (who aren't miners and guards) are robots, and (presumably) pass off as human (until the miners find otherwise via the spybots), why not have them as primary adversary? Granted, the hybrids would be more powerful, so they could possibly step in like the mercs did in RF1.
Another thing, why would a miner just go and test a bullet enfused with a fuel? You wouldn't test out a bullet if it were made from TNT, so why would you just pick up a fuel bullet? Logically, fuel is unstable, as it gives off energy under certain conditions. Knowing it was a fuel source, the miner would fear that it may explode. Naturally, he'd probably run from it. Perhaps, instead, the fuel seeps in, unknowingly to the miners. Anyway, you'd have to explain why the robots short-circuited (well, the ones not shot with the bullet): because the robots were on small LANs connecting them, and when one died, the fuel caused a feedback into the network and overloaded some of the nearest robots (farther ones would be able to anticipate the feedback).
Good idea, and possible, as it is predicted that any machine that becomes truely self-aware (instead of merely intelligent (they are different)) would dispise its human-appointed role and rebel. Thus, in this case, the AI would be rebelling against humanity. Anyway, pretty good idea. |

If it was a modder i think they have to be a team like 60 or 100 modders and they have to work like 5 or 8 hours a day and like rent a building or buy a building to make the mod and they have to work in close quarters not just connecting through internet or phone.But if a company like THQ or Volition it be a lot easier except that they have to deliver the game at a certain day ,worry about the project bieng canceled (it happens a lot to games)and the biggest problem is running out of money.I think they never made Rf3 because one of those problems or since RF2 wasnt a big hit they just stop the Rf project. |
