Post 1 / 5 i remember when the servers for redfaction when down becouse of the fires in california about a year and a half ago and i rember that a few peaple set up there own server and gave there ip so we couls play rf until the thq or volition servers came back up. seing as how i love playing redfaction i was wondering if someone could tell me how to run my own redfaction server in the event thq ever shut down the servers. Then you would not see anybody's games... it would be blank! People's servers will still be running... but... you would have to know their IP's to get into them! That is when L4Y gets flooded with server IP's! If you do make a server you will have to forward your ports and download RF Server Assist 4! Ok, not everybody should set up a tracker, all ya need is one machine. But if the ppl left L4Y with their knowedgle, and then the server goes down..noone will b able to do this. I doubt it's still online, but if it is it's match.no-ip.com . The same guys coded the Hex name maker... ... ah but if I could remember the guy's name!
