download accelerators wont work with the site.
They take up too many download spaces and still download slowly, causing everyone else on the site to suffer because of this download accelerators do not work on this site
download accelerators work by opening a number of connections to a file.
Why should one person take up 5 download slots? |

Download accelerators will not work here. End of story.
This way EVERYONE has the same access to the files and bandwith. |

Actually mine takes up 7 slots 
And, my dl speed on L4Y wasn't slow before when using a dl accelerator. It was at 150KB/s-160KB/s. That's my dl speed from every site with DAP..... lol |

Yes, that's why those "leechers" are forbiden on many sites. When the server is just sufficient or have difficulties to cope with the ammount of requested downloads, the speed of a few is the slowness of many . If the capacity of the server is bigger download accelerators come in handy. But you can't ask other mirrors to Garner. He's already strugling for money.
The question may be different for download resumes. I remember when i was a 56 k i couldn't afford to have my comp running and downloading for 6 or 7 hours in a row. Remember noone can phone you, in between.
If the site could support download resuming, it would free some bandwidth, imo because 56kers wouldn't have to restart from the begining downloads they couldn't finish at first. |

OK then if you cant alowe multiple spots at least alow pausing and restarting downloads so if its a big file like over 100 mb it can be downloaded |
