Anyway I still wonder that why in heck none else has succeeded in adding weapons for rf since basic modding tutorial in red faction/mods gives good hints for making it.


Adding weapons in RF is.. well.. childsplay to me now.

All you need is the right tools (3DS MAX 4.2 / 5 and the toolkit), a great tutor or two (SKA, Beatonator (who FINALLY told me my uber CENSORED problem which fixed it ALL!! Cheers d00d!!) and a lot of determination. It takes a lot of trial and error to get the weapon looking right in game, then, comes the animation which can take a long time. The longest animation is by far the reload, which one of them took me 2 hours

But anyway, if you have access to 3DS MAX 4.2, you SHOULD try exporting to RF!
Back in RF... getting back into the swing of things!

It's true, once you've rigged a few weapons and gone through the process a few times then it's not really that difficult.

If only I could fix my 3dsmax so it would save my rig correctly
