If you are really interested making real not cheating mods for RF you should check around red technologies site found here However I would like to note that some things are "hardcoded" into game's executable like dualshot action for automatic shotgun and it cannot be changed. Also you should search redtech site for descent manager toolikt 1.2v since it gives you all the tools you need to make/edit/play mods. Project RF SDI My RF Files
