The main problem is the Havok Game Dynamics software development kit (SDK) used to manage its physics. Havok is described by its developer as a cross-platform engine, but that platform support is thus far restricted to video game consoles and PCs only. This engine is used by over 100 games now, and a Mac conversion of Half-Life 2 would require Havok's developers to create a Macintosh-compatible SDK -- an action they have not yet taken
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

well if the SDK thing is true then they should get from their arse and start making it cuz they never take the time to make exellent games for macs, it always "oh we cant be bothered" basically

Mac is a totally different platform, it would probably be very hard to do. ive delt with both Mac and Windows and i must say ... i pick the PC. (no surprise). the market for Macs is small too (mostly schools and some small businesses). even if they could, would it be worth their time and effort ... probably not.

Mac's aren't very good for games anyway. (The Apple II was for games) Windows is better because most systems carry Windows XP. My bro has a Mac but he uses it just for music production, although the video card is nice. If I can't get my hands on it!!!!

1. Macs are very good and aswell they arent owned by every bloody person
2. it would play it but with crap detail, thats what my friends said. i mean, it runs UT 2004 at about 20 Fps with most detail at normal.

This is the reason why YOU DON'T BUY MACS unless you just want alot of media program. Sspeaking of non massasoft I mean non mircosoft computers if you have ever seen the games on linux there one called kill bill!
