Hi, lovers of gordon freeman fps game, it would like to make this forum to make a compare of the PC version of HL2 to of what should be the upcoming version of HL2 for XBOX.
My personal opinion is that it would never be the same, i think it will loose some of it best features like, some shadows n especial effecs that are going to be removed to make it run smooth, the loose of play it everywere by Steam network, the lost of the capabilities of mooding, and of course keyboard/mouse replaced for a choppy control.
So what do you think |

Read all reviews of HL2 Xbox, no different than PC version apart from everyone wants to lay it on PC rather than Xbox. Stick to PC version |

I havn't played it on X-box but my PC's much better than an X-Box so the game's gotta run a lot better on it. I just don't think you can really compare the 2 platforms |

Yeah xbox is a good console - but thats it.
And i diddnt know it had been reviewd yet on xbox?
They said they have more controll over the game with it being everyone having the same specs. valve rekons the lighting is going to actually be better!
Ill have to wait and see. |

Quote | Half-life 2 was not designed for Microsoft's Xbox console. We kow this because Valve has got it out of it's native P.C space-Indeed the conversion will be out soon- and it looks a bit of a dog. It's not in the textures, they're effective, if only a shadow of themselves running on expensive P.C kit. It's not the lighting, Valve have introduced specific xbox-only illumination to make the best good of the hardware. It's simply in the frame-rate, it chops and chugs like it's about to all but fall over and expire when scenes fill with background complexity and NPC detail. Or at least the beta build does - can valve make ammends in time for delivery? Such a task may be beyond even Gabe Newell's outfit |
Edge on HL2 xbox. |
