Ok...this is simply driving me nuts. I've made a simple Spacefighter battle in an AS map. Basically it is a huge cube in space; the objectives are to destroy 4 ion cannons on the 4 sides of the cube(DestroyVehicleObjectives), then fly down past it onto a planet (proximity objective) for the rest of the map. There are some sentinels on top of the cube, as well as the defenders' spawns. The attackers spawn directly above it all, facing down. The problem is this: the bots appear to totally ignore the FlyingPathnodes I set up. If there are no defenders, the attackers fly straight down, shooting the ion cannons as they pass if possible. They continue basically straight down until they hit something and die; then they repeat this infinitely. If there are defenders but no attackers, they do something very similar. If there are both, the two teams fight, but the attackers don't really try to do the objectives, and they continue dive-bombing if they can.
To put it simply, I have absolutely no idea why this is happening. I've tried everything--moving the Flyingpathnodes around, creating tons of forced paths, fiddling with the settings on pretty much all the navigation points in that zone--but it has no effect whatsoever. The bots just ignore the paths and fly in straight lines; unless there are enemies, in which case they figjht them and ignore their objectives! What the $&%$@$^%#^$%$ is going on here?!? I have been able to find no information on pathing for Spacefighters anywhere, so I'm basically trying to make guesses based on AS-Mothership and AS-Acatana, the only maps I can find with pathed fighters. And yes, I have built paths...far too many times. Any ideas?
