My sisters pet, a guinea pig died today..his name was Spiky
She left him outdoors for too long on that very hot day.
We found him almost dead lying down on the floor. We've tryed to cool him with water but it didn't help.
After a half hour he suddenly breathed worser and slower and made bad sounds, ..then he stopped breathing and I didn't know what to do.
Then my sister started crying.
That was the first time I've seen a "friend" dying. Man, it was "only" a guinea pig, but we all loved it so much
Now our female guinea pig is alone again
What an inviting thread title...bad luck man but if it's any consolation your life and the life of your guinea pig is ultimately pointless so as long as he was happy in the little bit of life he got then you shouldn't mourn him.
I remember when I was younger being really bad with pets dying. I used to ball my eyes out crying when a hamster died, nevermind a cat or a dog.
Don't worry about feeling silly the loss you are feeling is a requisite for the rest of your life. Pets dying prepares you for a much worse pain you will feel later on in your life. Here have a hug mate, *Hugs*

i've had many pets die/go missing and it really sucks... it really does.... i lost
-a cat (i was really young when it died so i dont remember how i felt)
-another cat ( it dissapeared and was never seen again... we only had it for like a year too...)
-a dog (we couldn't handel it. we bought it and it was already a couple of years old... we only had it for a few months then we had to send it back to the pound.. i still liked it though and i was sad to see it go )
-a hampster ( i put it in its hampster ball so it could roll around the house then i went to a friends house and forgot about the hampster in the ball and when i remembered it was stuck behind the toilet where it's cold and its been in its ball for about 8 hours and it got a cold and a few days later it died )
-another cat (this cat i had for about 8 years then it got sick and dissappeared so we think it ran away to die because cats tend to do that )
-lots of fish (i've had many fish throughout the years but they dont last very long... but i did have this 1 gold fish for about 5 years and i was sad when it died )
currently i have 3 cats, 1 dog, and 4 gold fish and i hope they last a long time
