Hi, I would like to hear you opinion because every Censored post in internet gaming pages are saying that PC gaming will fall againts next-gen consoles.
I think this is stupid, ok i know that Nvidia GPU + The Cell combo is a great deal for the PS3 and the ATi custom GPU+ Intel DC processor for XBOX 360 is a blast too.
But everyone just see the inovation in the console side but they never bother to look inovations in PCs side.
Big innovations like Windows Longhorn 64bit OS from Microsoft, ATi Crossfire dual graphics GPU technology, Nvidia SLi dual GPU technology, DC Procesors from Intel and AMD, 64bit AMD processors, and all that huge stuff you could put here.
I know that upgrading a PC its more expensive than buying a brand-new next-gen console, but believe me if you are a real gamer its worth the money, never compare a GPU/RAM performance in a console than a PC. A PC with a decent configuration for gaming will destroy it; a console controller is never comparable to a keyboard/mouse, and believe me a HDTV is never beating a Digital LCD Flat Screen with high response rate.
So PC/console gamer Stand Up Speak Up!!!

PC all the way! Consoles are [Censored] after you play a decent PC! Most people have a decent PC to play with! And yes.. you are right.. any true gamer plays more PC games than console games! Console games are for when the "game trackers" are down... or if you have friends over! But, by far.. PC's will always be faster and better! You get what you pay for! |

My specs are as followS:
Intel P4 3.2 ghz processor
Corsair 512 mb DDR 800
Ati Radeon 9800 pro
2 160 gig hard drives in Raid 0
Abit IC-7 Max 3 Motherboard
etc.. but we better stop with the specs and stuff! if you want to post your specs ... post them here!

Tag I would like to know what sites you are seeing this info from. Pc games fall to console systems NEVER happen. I want to read this info you have read. Post where they are.  |

I have to say it. For a PC that will match next gen consoles you are going to need a lot more money than what a console will cost (that is if you are purchasing PC parts legally and from a shop.) but PC's are better because they are constantly being upgraded so you are not always stuck with the dinasaur you originally got. |

I am mostly a FPS gamer. If a console system came out with an affordable keyboard/mouse combo I would probably play it more than I do now. There will always be people who like PCs more. |

Heh. half life 2 is out on the xbox soon.
Its basicly finished being made. They say a lot has been done with the lighting as they have more controll over the gpu - as in every system will be the same.

Al the next gen consoles are just PCs in a box. Look at the XBOX, they just took off-the-shelf components and put it in a box with a custom OS. XBOX modders will know that you can just take out the 8Gig HDD and slap in any 160Gig drive you can find anywhere with no trouble at all.
The only benefits of console gaming is the reliablity (you gotta love it when your hard drive keeps failing), consistency of quality (playting doom 3 in low settings in 800x600 really sucked) and thier inexpensivness (although the XBOX was £300 at launch and the games cost more, the X360 is only going to cost around £200, but god knows how much the games will cost given the amount of quality in them).
The MAJOR thing I love about PC gaming is modding. I certainly would'nt enjoy the Max Payne games as much as I do without some of the killer mods that have come out over the years. I would get bored of it very quickly without the constant and creative flow of content being made for these games. It's the reason I love the Timesplitters games and the reason Halo 2 is so god damn popular. |
