i think your talking about the 'green team' glitch... u type something like: team " in the consol and it'll say u switched teams but the player colour wont change and the person that switched to the 'green team' will be able to kill both sides and capture both sides.... i dont think this works in all servers though cuz i think theres a fix or patch someone made that can stop this but not all servers use it...

If the person still appears on the player list then its not the green team glitch.

When people change teams sometimes RF gets confused and thinks they are still on that team ( they have the original teams colour, but play as a member of the team they switched to ).

Some people have found ways to force this to happen

hehe, I gotta admit, I used to use the green team glitch, so much fun cause everyone's trying to get the flags and killing the other team while you go around killing everyone, a lot of times, both teams team up to kill you

Mean, I know, but it's funny
I miss Red Faction *cries* if anybody has a spare copy, LET ME KNOW!!!!

Ask the server to patch up the game using this file:

Green Team Fix

Description: Red Faction Patch (unofficial) so that players will no longer be able to use the glitch to switch to the "Green" team in multiplayer. This patch fixes that problem. Don't worry it will still be compatible with default version. It won't prevent other from joining your server. It only fixes the problem on the server side. If you are hosting a server, this is one of two file thAt you need. The other one being this one:
Red Faction Anti-Crash Patch.

Well besides the green team Glitch there is a team color glitch in which: lets say you are on red team you die switch teams but still have the red team skin i cant remember the exact sequence of commands. The only way to tell if the person is on your team or not is highlighting there name if they are blue name but red team skin they are on the blue team.

This happened to me in [ISM] a while back. The bugger was annoying. He spawned in red with a red skin but was on blue team.....

Here are the ips he used to get back in my server:
64.119.11.198
64.119.14.95
64.119.13.4
