Does anyone know if it is possible to prevent the Full Brightness of textures being 'switched off' after a geo-mod explosion in MP, in Red
Faction?
I need the full brightness to work but I also need geo, very irritating when they all go dull after I've blown a hole

Thanks for your thoughts

Yes I do Bobo, but as you can appreciate, I am a very busy man I didn't want to give you a half-baked explaination and would rather have explaied it properly. I will do so when I get some time... hopefully this evening.

Also, in relation to the Particle Emitter problem; I use Photoshop 7 and not Paint Shop Pro so don't know if I can help you there, but I will try to tell you the basic parameters. Try to be patient

I think you need to set Ambient Lighting to White. Kick me if I'm wrong.

*KICK* That would be really white when playing though I would think.

That's what he wanted, unless he's talking about 'seperate' faces. If that's the case I'm rendered useless...

The only way to stop other parts of a level going dark after using geo with fullbright is portals...

You get a distinct light/dark boundary when you geo, i.e. only the 'room' which you geo'd goes dark. That probably doest help.

In this instance Grim I dont think portals will help me The area is way too open to portal off all the faces with Full bright on them.

Dorling I was gonna kick you but yafter all you were only trying to help But no joy on that front either. I am not ruining all my hard-work on lighting just for this purpose.

So that's it then? It can only be achieved with portals?

is only the area near your geo region affected? or does the whole map darken the full bright textures?
