Hi I am working on a mod the mod requires bik video for Red Faction.
The bik video has sound the sound works outside the game but ingame the sound is not there.
Does it need to be a spacific formate (ie: 44,100 16bit sterio) how Can I get it to work in game, like the original bik videos that came with the game (with sound)
I've tryed it many times to get the sound working in RF...but it never worked.
The sound format of the original movies is "unreadable" - "(old format)"
Perhaps this is a modified format for Red Faction.
Load a RF movie in the bik player, then look at its properties. Audio format will not be displayed.
To be able to hear sound/music in RF, the file needs to be made .wav
The original soundtrack of the Bink video can be converted to .avi, and then from there to .wav
Thought you wanted to get the sound from it into RF?

Hes meaning creating a new intro movie, not actually in game.
I cant even get my intro movies to work, RF just crashes... can you tell me what properties to save the bik as in order for RF to be able to use?

Sound is still an issue your may be able to get the video in,like i have but the sound doesnt play init.
What I think we are going to do for Ultor Corps is have a exe that plays the intro video out side of rf and then after seeing the video the exe will launch rf mod ultor corps and the game will begin at the end of the game we could have a passcode to view the ending video.
