a few questions in making a new HUD. first:what do i have to do to it to make 1.3 not recognize it as a modification? the T3 hud does it. why wont mine?
second: if i wanted to alter the position of the HUD, where in the "hud.tbl" is that located? The tutorials i found a redtech werent specific enough.
just incase your curiouse:
its just a visual thing. im not going into new skins/sounds/models, none of that. Just the health/enviro.
It's funny...
1):
Try making it into a .vpp and placing in multi folder and then play and see if it comes up because I think sounds and tgas are acceptable
2):
try placing just the tgas in your ui.vpp and try playing

i have tried placing the vpp in my "single" folder, and it does let me play 1.3. however; the new colors ive added to the numbers wont appear when putting them in the multi/single folder. is there a way around that?
Well, you wont be able to do ANY table changes, including Colours, location etc... Sorry man thats just the way 1.3 works. As far as I know anyway
Trying to find old players. Anyone about? Drop me a PM or reply to this thread: >Link< (or head over to RFrun.net's comment section!)

Incorperating Tables in HUDs won't work, because 1.3 recognises it as a form of Modding, but we know that you're not.
It's a huge creativity block, but you can work your way around it by designing a HUD that matches the Pre-Set layout and colours. It's trial and error when matching the health onto armour and so forth. You are allowed to change dimensions for the TGAs in 1.3. the origin from which they get bigger is in the top left, that's for everything you see on the screen.
