I kknow how to create the bolt effects, but every time i go to change a setting for it it disappears. the red line stays there but the actual bolt it gone. Can someone help me plz.
I also would like to know how to slow the speed of the bolt down, if anyone could help me i would be very qreatful

ok heres the thing about bolt and particle emitters. the default bitmap they use causes a bug in RED, so as soon as you open the properties the bolt does dissapear. make sure your view is set to render everything, and that you have anything other than the default bitmap selected.
as far as slowin down the speed? not sure how you mean. if you mean slowing down how fast it jitters, just lower the number in the \"jitter\" dialog box. if you want a steady bolt effect (which is what i think you mean most) just increase the decay time, and lower the \"spawn delay\" like so:
this will give you the steadiest its gonna be. I personally have never seen a completely still bolt. if thats what you want just make a long thin cylinder brush, and color it how you wish. then accent it with lights of the chosen color. then make it a group and add a keyframe, and check \"no player collide\" so you can still walk through it. i hope this was at least partially helpful
