Well this site is closing down it seems. I actually went directly here after seeing the new max payne 3 updates.
Rockstar is handling it now, And I don't doubt them for a second to do a good job. This will be the last Max Payne game it seems, since every part of Max Payne the character and story will be featured in this last game.
I owe many hours of my life to this website. I started playing Max Payne 1 on my dad's old computer, then I found out about mods on this very site. I lived far away from my friends that I only met at school at the time, so gaming became a bigger part of my life I must admit.
I actually made a video here before fraps even existed, used somekind of screenshot software and held the capture button to take hundreds of frames and then put them together in a avi file.
Seeing all the mods that has come out from skilled and creative modders, myself even being a part of hyping one of them Elements of Style, when I made a fan trailer for the first version. Then later being contacted by the creator himself, Dalte89 that asked me to do a trailer for 2.0, and letting me try several versions to test things to have in the trailer.
Video editing since then has been a strong hobby of mine. And Sony Vegas has always been my preferable tool of editing. My youtube videos have now combined reached 450,000 views(puttefnask), not all were stared up and thumbed up to the skies, but that's a part of it. People will always criticize your work. You just gotta learn to take it the right way, and improve.
This all inspired me to apply to study 3D Design & Animation in Norway, where I learned how to use 3DS Max and several other useful software. (I actually put levels4you.com on the application.)
I never got to start modding Max Payne. But a Max Payne 3 google search always came around every other month. And now in a few days /Sept 14th) we will finally see some gameplay from this long awaiting game.
So it feels to me that I'm going somewhere with this. I'll get a career doing something I love to do. And I owe it all to you, pretty much
Thank You, from TriX.
