I am still having major lag issues and have been messing around with the network settings and I was wondering what the simultaneous ping does and what is a good value to use. Also what is a good value for the network speed if I have a fios connection with 20Mbps down and 5Mbps up.
Also are there any router or ethernet card setting tweaks that would help out for gaming.
Just to give an example of what I am seeing on my end when I am playing RF. I may have a much lower ping then others but I notice they see me and start doing damage before I even see them and can start firing so by the time I start firing I am already half wore down .
Any ideas would be great.
Seems like the best connection I ever had for RF was when I had AT&T dial up.

Noticed the same problems. Lower pings in RF could be your death.
Simultaneous ping does not affect the gameplay. It's how many servers are pinged in the serverbrowser at once. (this value never really worked anyway)

Works in the newer PFs - never did in 1.2 though.

If it's set to 100. RF pings 100 servers at the same time. Thus the servers list faster.
But this could result in inaccurate results so its better to keep the value down.
It's nonsense anyway since there are not even more than 50 servers.
You and everybody else can simply ignore simultaneous ping. Since game has been released.
