I have purchased some cheap 3D Glasses (red/cyan) on ebay today.
Some weeks ago, I've seen some person saying that the iz3D drivers give a nice insight on how the 3D technology on PC would be.
The quality will not be the best, and the hardware requirements is really high (1frame per second requires the performance of 2 frames), but I want to give it a shot because I can't lose anything I'm just curious about it... I would never get myself a 120hz screen and those headache causing shutter glasses.
Perhaps somebody has experience in this and can help me with some troubleshooting if there'll be any.
Here you can grab the drivers: http://www.iz3d.com/driver
All you need now are some normal 3D glasses (made of paper and whatnot) that you would use in a 3D cinema for example.
AMD has teamed up with iz3D already.
The game should be looking like this when rendered in 3D mode:
¤ MARS WARS 3! - Red Faction revamped on the unreal engine. Superiority ¤
I have been using the TriDef 3D software for a few weeks now but 3-D has never been a big deal for me so i only use it when looking at Movies, it can make all movies 3-D, in gaming it just gives me headaches so i don't use it for that.
-waR'.se- I don't know who you are, where you are from, or what you want... But if you threaten my freedom... I'll kill you.
hehe I did a quick test on The Saboteur.
I've seen the effect with naked eye. Looked...special.
I've also noticed that the TriDef thingy can view images and videos in 3D. Although without the required depth information in the picture I guess it's no real 3D. But it may look cool nonetheless.
Oh and it had a huge performance impact in The Saboteur in the menu alone. My 4870 would have died with it.

Hm, I still use xfire.
Probably deleted you from my list for some reason.
Anyway...my acc is still rfredfrog if you want to add me.
I have so many random people added that I barely talk to anyone but a very few well known persons.
I still have pictures of you playing Fallout3 with the xfire window overlapping the game, haha.
Oh, I just found that one in a forum:
