Never mind. I found the problem. A few files were missing from the freshly installed drivers so I reinstalled them and it worked. I worked it out when I noticed I could not change color bit or res in nvidia control panel and I dug deeper and found some file were not installed. Dont know how that happen since I just did a fresh first time install of 7 and the gfx drivers. |

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate. Works ok on mine. Try using compatibility mode, by righ clicking on the exe, select properties. Click on the Compatiblity tab, and set it to run in WinXP / Vista Service pack 1 - 3. Any choice will do, it would not really matter.
Also, if you have just install Red Faction on your computer, run the RedFaction.exe to bring up the launcher. Click the setup button and quickly run through all the settings.
Let me know the results  .

Yea, I'm running WIn7 Ultimate too.
Also, be careful using compatibility mode as it often messes up mouse input - BADLY. |

I can't stand Windows XP these days, we use it at work and i get headaches from it all the time.
Nothing can beat the clean look of Windows 7 and the Internet experience of Opera 10.50 i just love the new GUI. |

I tried playing RF with a lap top (returned it ). I couldn't play RF with or without PF. Only in window mode. Don't ask me what the specs were, I don't remember but I do remember it had an ATI Card. Problem was the graphics, they looked awful and the lap top had Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.  |

Well I'm not even using the Windows7 design.. good old Win98 look, but with enhanced functionality of Windows7 (apart from the crap Win7 search function..but I use 3rd party software for that)
I've got Opera Version 10.51  (perhaps only the germans get that one )
It has indeed a very nice new GUI.  Just the best browser out there.
Wanna fight about it, anyone??! |

Chrome is a fast browser yes but it has no Ad block unless you install a plugin, i can't stand the GUI either it's just way to stale and cold for me.
I love the new GUI in Opera and Unite is great, it's just way more flexible than any other Browser out there.
