I take a break for a week and come back to find my topic LOCKED because of an argument i asked many to drop...... so it was locked it like its my fault  all the images are on this thread and i really dont want to copy and paste everything
could a mod delete the bullsh*t and unlock the topic please? pretty please? |

Sorry to hear ya topic was locked. But in all honesty we now have all seen the thread and looked at the pics of your map ( which looks very good by the way). So why not post any new pics of your map in the pimp my map section....................which is where most people go to view pics of upcoming maps.
PS other people have been asked to pimp there maps in that section only so I think that rule applies to all....................guess you were lucky to have a whole thread purley for the pimping of your map  |

I still do not agree with that. I mean its fair enough that the threads there for that purpose but I hardly go to the thread. Never the less, the damage has been done and people cry a lot on these forums to get their own way . This forum is ran by kids! Where are all the adults?  |

if everyone was allowed to just start a new thread everytime they had half an idea for a map there would be hundreds of threads to sort through, thats why the Pimp your map thread was started, however you will notice on the left hand side
<----------- that there is a section that updates the current active threads, so you could always check that for new posts.
This forum isnt run by kids but it doesnt cater for spoilt selfish kids either! |

You can see why it got locked. I would like to just delete all the stuff that isn't related to the topic but you know how people get angry when I do stuff like that, this is why I decided to close it. |

Well one of those spoilt selfish kids cannot be me then , because I aint a kid.
I do know about the "Hot Topics" section. Can you see the pimp my map thread in there though? I certainly cant lol. Doesn't matter anyways. The damage has been done.
Noclanfrank, your an admin, you should not care who complains about their posts being deleted. You only delete or remove stuff to your discression and opinion of that post. If you believe that something is just posted to insult another member, or any other stuff I have not covered, they do not need to read it and members should already know that there is a PM system on here so that they can send private messages to each other and to keep others out of the issue.
I do personally believe that you should delete the non-sense in Wakey's thread and re-open it. And put a message on the end that says "Mess has been cleaned up", then you will not get a dozen members posting saying "Didn't this thread have some other CENSORED in it too?" .
Be a man, and do what you feel is best and sensible. After all, you are here to keep the peace. |

See what I mean.  "Some people" tend to think that useless arguments should be allowed to be posted. "They" believe it's a freedom of speech issue when it really isn't.

I might go through the thread again and remove any non-related items/posts and re-open it. |

As the original topic creator I would ask nicely if you could delete the crap posts and let it stay open.. the map is still in development and im still trying to get around the random crashes. All will be revealed in time but i dont want to create a new thread when there is another one with a good 5 pages worth of replys  |

Personally, I think thread creators should be able to delete posts from their own threads. Limited admin, if you will. I think that would take a lot of pressure of the staff to clean up after children. |

I agree with you in principle AM but in practice it would create more flaming and unnecessary threads being opened. Imagine you post a thread which i consider opinionated and disagree, you dont want to hear my argument so you delete my post, I then open a thread refuting your previous thread and accusing you of being singleminded, you then answer my thread so i delete your post, etc etc etc. see what I am getting at? |
