Update 22/12/09 @ 9:06 PM EST:
Mod has been released, you can download it here: [Link]. (Will be on L4Y soon)
We're putting up 2 servers; "lego.na.dm" and "lego.na.ctf". I look forward to playing with everyone!
==========
Thought I'd make a quick post just to let everyone know that we're going to be re-releasing LEGO_MP as a PF 3.0 mod within the next 48 hours. All that we have left to do is some minor testing & getting servers set up.
So yea... I look forward to playing it with everyone very soon.
NOTE: For those of you that remember the previous release of LEGO_MP, this release will be very simple by comparison. It will be just like any other mod, put a folder in RedFactionmods and select it from the drop down menu in PF, then launch the game.

The LEGO HUD was designed to be amazingly simple - if you can remember the original one... it was just different coloured numbers in the top left hand corner.
We purposely stayed away from using big images and visual cues and instead went for numbers for simplicity.
Having said that, once it's released, if you want to make your own HUD for it... you should be able to. I'm pretty sure PF doesn't check the hud.tbl file for cheats

None - that wasn't the issue. There are LEGO mods for nearly every game that supports modding, the problem with the other lego release was that it was a game, not a mod.
Nevertheless, the reason the other version of lego was stopped was not because of legal issues with lego, but with Volition. Distributing part of their game wouldn't have gone over well.
