Hello L4Y,
I am posting for some technical support today .
My cousin has a laptop and it is slow as CENSORED !
She would like to restore the laptop by re-installing everything but not loose any data.
Now I would recommend my self to back things up to CD/DVD but her laptop is very old and does not have a CD Drive lol.
So I was left with one option, create a partition that she can back up all her files to.
When trying to use either Partition Magic or Paragon Manager, they both generate the same error message saying that they were unable to find any hard disks which is very strange.
If I go into Computer Managerment and look at Disk Managerment, her hard drive shows up in there, along with a recovery drive for re-installing her laptop.
the Drive shows up as C: XP NTFS and has a capacity of 71.2GBs.
The recovery is a hidden partition that hides away as it contains the files nessesary to re-install the laptop.
Does anyone know of any fix to perform to get either Partition Magic or Paragon Manager to be able to see the hard drive so that I can partition it.
Any help is appricated, apart from any help that would suggest to back anything up on a USB stick. She does not have any, and neither do I.
She does not have another computer to network with to send the files over to it and back again once the restore has been done. |
